Veterinary clubs

Cheviot vet David Wood and his wife Judith attend to a piglet. Wood, the first resident vet in Cheviot, took over the North Canterbury Vet Club in 1964. Veterinary clubs, set up with direct or indirect funding from farmers, played a major role in providing services to the rural community.
