Hanmer Springs hot pools

Thermal hot springs also occur in the South Island. There are two commercial resort settlements – the tiny Maruia Springs on the western side of Lewis Pass and the larger town of Hanmer Springs on the eastern side. These pools at Hanmer Springs are picturesquely surrounded by snow.
