Waka ama race

Waka ama race

The New Zealand Masters Women’s waka ama crew celebrate after winning the 500-metre sprint at the 2006 world championships, held at Lake Karapiro. Waka ama are traditional Polynesian outrigger canoes, and races are now popular sporting events.
