The Swan Lake Slappettes

The Swan Lake Slappettes, seen here practising at Western Springs, were one of the featured acts at Auckland’s Hero Parade in 2001. The parade was an opportunity for homosexuals to make their presence felt in the community in a light-hearted carnival atmosphere.
