Whakapohane, by Dun Te Ringa Mangu Mihaka, is an account of Mihaka's trial following his whakapohane i te tou (traditional insult, involving baring the buttocks) in front of the visiting Prince and Princess of Wales as their car left Wellington airport in 1983. Mihaka's autobiographical book Ki te whei-ao, Ki te ao-marama was published in 1989.
