The 1924–25 All Black tour of Europe gave the team the nickname 'the Invincibles' because they won all 32 games, many by large margins. George Nēpia, the nuggety fullback from Wairoa, led the haka before each game and was the undoubted hero of the tour. His talent and personality raised the status of all Māori in the eyes of non-Māori New Zealanders. Watch Nēpia describe the team's triumphant return to Wellington by ship.
