‘The black singlet’ (1 o 4)

‘The black singlet’

This silkscreen print taken from a woodcut by artist Nigel Brown shows a man in a black singlet – a recurring theme in Brown’s work. The black singlet has come to symbolise the male New Zealand rural labourer.
