Ngā tūāhua makawe wāhine, 1827 pea

I tauiratia tēnei tānga i ētahi tānga a Augustus Earle i tōna huringa i te hiku o Te Ika-a-Māui i ngā tau o 1827 me 1828. Tokorua ngā wāhine kei konei, ko tētahi e 25 tau pea te pakeke, ko tētahi 13 tau te pakeke. He taurekareka ia nā ‘Amoko’ (te wahine kei te taha mauī). Ko te ingoa o te taurekareka ko ‘Hepee’, ā, kāore ōna taonga i ōna makawe. E mau hei kaki ana rāua, tae atu ki ngā rīpene kei ngā taringa.
