Boccia, described as a mix of lawn bowls and pétanque, is a game for people with physical disability. The aim is to get a leather ball as close as possible to the jack, requiring a combination of skill and strategy. Players compete in categories based on their functional ability. Some players are able to throw the ball themselves, while others require a ramp and the help of an assistant.
