The Phoenix Foundation's 'Let me die a woman' was the first single off their debut full-length album Horsepower (2003). Horsepower was nominated for best album at the New Zealand Music Awards and the Bnet awards, and while it didn't win, it was acclaimed as one of the best New Zealand albums of the year.
