Lord Bledisloe at Massey College

Lord Bledisloe at Massey College

Pranks have long been a part of student life and New Zealand’s agricultural colleges have a particular reputation for them. Here, students from Massey College form an unofficial guard of honour for Governor-General Lord Bledisloe on his visit to the campus in 1930. Lord Bledisloe had a prominent nose and a moustache – several of these students are wearing a false nose and moustache.
