Combine harvester at work

A combine harvester cuts ripe wheat, west of Oxford in North Canterbury. The combine harvester has the functions of a header-harvester and the tractor that powers it in one machine. It cuts the heads of wheat, which pass to a threshing apparatus that removes and cleans the grains.
