Marching teams were inventive when designing their uniforms, with a range of styles emerging. The team for MacDuffs department store in Wellington pose with their motto in what appear to be satin shorts and shirts in 1937. Unusually, they are wearing court shoes rather than the boots or sandshoes that were usual for marching teams, so possibly this was a 'dress' version of their uniform.
