Explaining human rights to children, 1948

Mabel Annie Newlands (left) from New Zealand and Marga Klompe from the Netherlands explain human rights to children at the United Nations meeting in Paris, in 1948. Newlands and Klompe were both delegates to the negotiations that culminated in the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Newlands was, along with Colin Aikman, one of the two representatives presenting the New Zealand government's comments on the draft UDHR.
