Field shoot, Kaiti Hill, 1960

Jim Burton competes in the field shoot section of the New Zealand national championships in 1960, at which he retained his New Zealand open title. Burton is using a recurve bow – the slight reverse curve at the end of the limbs (lessened because the bow is drawn) can be seen.
