The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international organisation that promotes education and mental stimulation for retired people. The first New Zealand branch started in 1989. Dunedin woman Margaret Pitches began taking U3A courses in 2006, aged 90. She began with cosmology and moved on to Russian and Pacific history. Here, she is considering what courses to do next.
