I ngā tau tōmua o te rautau 1900 ka ngana a Timi Kara ki te whakapōturi i ngā hoko whenua Māori. Ko te ingoa o tēnei ture ko te ture ‘Taihoa’, ā, kāore i pārekareka ki te hunga Pākehā. E ai ki te titiro a ētahi ka whakaawe tēnei kaupapa i etahi atu take torangapū. He pakiwaituhi tēnei nō te tau 1907 e whakaatu ana i te Pirimia a Te Waari (Joseph Ward) e whakahē ana i ngā tono a tētahi wahine Pākehā mō tētahi wāpu hou ki Onehunga, mō te poutāpeta nui ake ki Tāmaki-makaurau me ētahi atu whanaketanga.
